Industrial Lighting
Workshop, warehouse and production-area lighting
Industrial lighting must support safe movement, task visibility, maintenance access and the conditions within the workspace.
The design may involve high-bay or low-bay fittings, task lighting, external lighting, controls and coordination with emergency lighting.
B2E Electrical & Renewables Ltd is a family-run SELECT member based in Rosyth, supporting site owners, engineering teams, facilities managers, production managers, workshop owners, main contractors and equipment installers across Fife and surrounding areas.

- Low-bay fittings
- Task lighting
- External lighting
Emergency lighting, fire-risk duties and specialist lighting design should be clarified where relevant.
Why the service may be needed
Poor task visibility
Industrial tasks may require lighting matched to the work being done.
Old fittings fail
High-level failures can be disruptive and costly to access.
Layout changes
Racking, machinery and workstations can alter lighting needs.
Industrial lighting applications
Lighting is selected around tasks, height, environment and maintenance access.
- Workshops
- Warehouses
- Production areas
- Loading bays
- External yards
- Task benches
Emergency lighting, fire-risk duties and specialist lighting design should be clarified where relevant.
Lighting options
High-bay and low-bay
Fittings are selected around height, spread and access.
Task lighting
Local lighting can support detailed work areas.
Controls
Switching, sensors and zoning can match operational patterns.
How We Complete Industrial Lighting
Each industrial lighting project has a service-specific scope, with more detail available in our shared electrical project process.
Step 1
Initial discussion
We confirm the industrial requirement, who the work affects and the practical reason for the enquiry.
Step 2
Site assessment
The existing installation, access, likely cable routes and any constraints are reviewed before the scope is finalised.
Step 3
Scope and quotation
The quotation describes the agreed industrial lighting scope, known assumptions and exclusions.
Step 4
Planning and access
Dates, isolations, access arrangements and coordination with other trades or site users are agreed before work starts.
Step 5
Installation
The work is completed with attention to area use, mounting height, access planning, controls, installation and testing.
Step 6
Inspection and testing
New or altered electrical work is inspected and tested where required before handover.
Step 7
Certification and handover
Appropriate certification, labels, records and operating information are provided for the work within scope.
Regulations, Safety and Scope
Industrial electrical work is completed to the current edition of BS 7671 and applicable Scottish Building Standards requirements.
Machinery controls, PLC programming, specialist commissioning and process design are separate responsibilities unless specifically confirmed in the agreed scope.
Benefits of Industrial Lighting
Better task visibility
Lighting supports safer and more practical working areas.
Planned maintenance access
Fittings and routes are considered before installation.
